What is your background, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?
My birth town is Gran Canaria a small island which is part of the Canary Islands. My heritage is Indian, my mother was brought up in Chennai, India and my dad in Suez Canal, Eygpt. Being an only child I was loved immensely yet carried the responsibility live up to the expectations of my parents specially my father who suffered from undiagnosed vascular dementia since my childhood. Most of my life I felt I carried the heavy burden over my shoulders.
I came to the UK with a group of friends and studied in boarding school in another costal town Eastbourne for a couple of years. Since then I completed a 1st class degree in Psychology and an MSc in International Securities, Investment and Banking. I fulfilled my father’s dream and worked in the city for five years within International Asset Management Compliance in London. So I am really good making rules, writing procedures and breaking them too! I also gathered another five years of retail and commercial banking experience when I moved to Birmingham in a national building society. I responded to my calling of helping others which were the reason I pursued my degree in Psychology and I retrained in coaching, complementary and holistic health which I have been practicing since 2005 and teaching since 2016.
How did you learn about Bach Flowers?
I learned about the Bach Flower Remedies as part of holistic training. I felt its effects the most when I experienced my still birth and the death of my dad 8 weeks apart. I was unable to shed the tears of loss and held on to my grief. The Bach Flower essences transformed my life by gently giving me the safe space to release.
What makes this a healing modality, can you just tell us more about what Bach flowers are?
Bach Flower essences restore emotional balance in a safe and natural way. In the 1920s and 1930s Dr Edward Bach, a well-known bacteriologist, physician and pathologist discovered the Bach Flower system. Bach flower remedies consist of 38 remedies that address negative states of mind to help you control and balance your emotions and gain peace of mind.
Can you share a story about how using Bach has helped a client of yours or someone you know?
One of my clients in his 30s had gone through a sudden breakdown where he had lost his eye sight temporary and was experiencing constant tremor. With the use of allopathic medicine and under the care of the medics, the Bach Flower Essences helped him achieve inner harmony on a vibrational level. The Rescue Remedy addressed the sudden shock and trauma, additional Rock Rose Bach Flower Essence helped reduce the extreme terror and Aspen Bach Flower Essence eased the fear of the unknown.
