December Workshop – Navigating SAD

Kamalyn professionally trained, qualified and experienced Psychotherapist and Mindset Coach. This workshop is all about SAD

What is your background? Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?

I help female professionals and entrepreneurs overcome anxiety; overthinking; and self-limiting beliefs so that they are not holding themselves back from success and happiness.

I have been doing my role as a therapist for 9 years now and have worked with a diverse range of individuals from all walks of life helping them to deal with emotional distress caused by abuse, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, relationships / marital difficulties, stress and post-traumatic stress disorder.

You are a therapist, can you tell us more about the therapy you offer?

I offer therapy sessions and mindset coaching to help individuals heal from past experiences; overcome limiting beliefs; and achieve the life goals they desire.

The tools and strategies you offer are aimed to be solutions based. Can you share a story of a client who used these to improve their life?

A few years ago, a client started working with me due to anxiety; overthinking; and self-limiting beliefs of not being good enough. She was unhappy; feeling helpless; hopeless; and struggling to find a way out of the darkness that she was experiencing.

We set some therapy goals and worked on helping her reset her mind by healing from past experiences; challenging existing thoughts; and reprogramming belief patterns to achieve these goals.

This client not only overcame her anxiety but is now living a life that she only once imagined. She has set up a coaching business helping others change their lives. She is living abroad in Mexico and working has a successful 6 figure coach.

The workshop is around coping with Seasonal affective disorder (SAD), can you tell us a little more about this? (Really brief explanation)

Seasonal Affective Disorder is a condition that affects 2 million people in the Uk and more than 12 million people across Northern Europe. It can be described as depression that is triggered off during the winter months when the days are shorter, darker and colder.

The symptoms can vary from feeling low; lacking energy; sleeping lots; comfort eating; to excessive weight gain.
